Youth Fine Read Down

For every 15 minutes of reading in the library, we will forgive $1 in fines for youth 17 and younger.  Come to the Ask Me desk to sign up.

Calling all tinkerers, creators, and crafters!  Join us after school for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math) related projects. NO registration required.  Open to youth in grades K-5

Join the Bakken Museum in a program that takes you through the engaging story and experiments involved in one of the most vital engineering feats in history: the battery!

Polish Folk Art Class
Saturday, October 22nd.  1:00-3:30 PM
Try your hand at folk painting in the centuries-old tradition of the villagers of Zalipie, touted as Poland’s most highly decorated village.  All supplies provided; no experience needed!  The instructor is Mary Welke, a well-known local
artist.   This program is offered in collaboration with Columbia Heights Public Library and the Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota, in recognition of Polish-American Heritage Month.  Register online or call Barb at 763-706-3681.

Conversation Circles
Wednesdays and Thursdays 1-2 PM
Conversation circles is an informal weekly gathering of English-language learners.  It gives adults a chance to practice their speaking skills in a group setting with help from an English speaking volunteer.  Registration is NOT required, the group is open to anyone.

After Hours Book Return
Our outdoor book return is now open!  You can bring your books back to the library at any time that fits your schedule.  It is a drive-through book return located at the back(East side) of the building, accessible through the parking lot.
